OUR STORY
How Martin's Lookout Ranch came to be
With a family history of raising horses and beef cattle in Scipio, Utah, the love of ranching was instilled very early in John's life. After marrying Michelle and raising their family in Las Vegas, Nevada, John brought them (and later on the grandchildren) on many adventures, sharing his childhood. John and Michelle began to raise their own horses in Boulder City, Nevada with the help of their children, Tavis, Wyatt and Shay. This was where the love of horses began to spread down generations.

In 2022, Tavis and his wife, Sierra, moved our 4 kiddos to Tennessee with the help of Michelle and John. During this move the family decided to look for a home where we could all be together and raise some livestock of our own.

In 2023 we settled in LaFollette and were introduced to longhorns. New to the longhorn breed, Tavis and Sierra have spent a great amount of time educating ourselves and becoming part of the longhorn community. With our love of genetics, pedigree and progeny has been a huge focus for Martin's Lookout Ranch as we explore the longhorn history.

We are proud to show our amazing ranch to the world and share our love of longhorns and the pedigree we have been blessed to study and continue, horses we are excited to breed, and the many other animals we collect along the way (plus maybe a garden or two)!
